Whole Hearted Winery

Whole Hearted Winery is a special place. The owners, Dan and Brenda Weiand, have a charity just up the road where they have a warehouse. They receive weekly product from Bed, Bath and Beyond, Lowes, and Home depot. So they have pretty much everything that these stores carry in limited stock. And here's the kicker.... it's all free. Totally pay it forward. So if you need something, or you know of someone needing something, you just contact Dan and it's yours. You just can't take it for resale. And to fund this, Whole Hearted Winery opened its doors in September 2019. A dollar from each bottle sold goes towards their charity. The shows will be held upstairs above their new tasting room that just opened right before Christmas 2021.

Crystal Lowery

In high school, Crystal Lowery was voted "most likely to be a standup comedian." She resisted standup comedy for a long time though, by writing comedy. Her work has featured on sites like The Huffington Post, Today Show Parents, The Poke, ABC, Reader’s Digest, Scary Mommy, Buzzfeed, Pop Sugar, etc. Crystal studied comedy writing at Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade. Her original screenplay placed at the Academy for Television Arts and Sciences (Oscars) contest. She has written jokes for Hollywood TV and Film, been a two-time finalist for NBC's Late Night Writers Workshop, and The Funniest Comic in Texas. Crystal finally caved in to destiny - performing standup off and on at comedy clubs and events.

Robert G. Lee

Well known in the entertainment industry as Hollywood’s top warm-up comic, Robert G. Lee is a veteran of over 1,500 episodes of such shows as The New Adventures of Old Christine, Just Shoot Me, Becker and The Drew Carey Show. His job is to keep countless audiences entertained for hours between scenes and costume and set changes with rapid-fire ad-libs and humorous interviews. No stranger in front of the camera either, Robert has been seen on the Bananas Comedy series, Showtime's The Joke's On Thee, VH1's Stand Up Spotlight, Comic Strip Live and a variety of roles on such sitcoms as Wings and Perfect Strangers. Robert has combined his Christian world view with his Monty Python sensibility and written many Veggie Tales videos such as “Little Joe,” “Gideon” and “Sheerluck Holmes.” To top it off, Robert just released his latest comedy project, “Wisenheimer” and just finished post production on “Can I Get A Witness Protection?” a full length faith-based screwball comedy feature he wrote and directed.

McCurdy's Comedy Theatre

McCurdy's Comedy Theatre was established in Sarasota/Bradenton Florida in 1988. Our new facility is a 7100 square foot purple building located in the heart of Historic Downtown Sarasota's East End at the intersection of Ringling Boulevard and Washington Avenue. The theatre was completely remodeled to create a world-class showroom devoted to the art of Stand-up Comedy.

World Series of Comedy

The World Series of Comedy was first held in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2003 at a local comedy club. Today, the World Series of Comedy is a stand-up comedy event for comedians of all levels. It starts with weeklong live satellite contests all around the U.S. and Canada, culminating in a comedy festival we call The Main Event, in September. The festival includes 101 qualifying comedians competing in The Main Event, as well as an entire week of comedy seminars and social and networking events for comics, comedy club managers and bookers from the U.S. and Canada.

Brian Atkinson is a 2023 Wild Card 1st place winner and a 2024-2025 top 40 comic in the World Series of Comedy.

Rick is CEO of Flowerland stores Grand Rapids Michigan with 3 garden centers serving the West Michigan area. Rick is host of the Flowerland show on NewsRadio WOOD 1300 and 106.9 FM and nationally on IHeart radio as "Phil Dirt" "heducating" and entertaining audiences for 25 years. Rick has also been the "Mr Green Thumb" for WZZM TV 13 the West Michigan ABC television affiliate for over 20 years. Rick is a writer for Women's Lifestyle Magazine and a blogger on his personal site thankyouverymulch.com. In addition to gardening Rick is a health enthusiast, avid runner and loves photography on the Lake Michigan shoreline and in the garden where he lives in West Michigan.

Matt Sharpe - Feature

Drawing from his training and experience as a licensed psychotherapist, a comedian, and a former bodyguard, Matt delivers humor-infused, practically transformative talks and training. Matthew Sharpe, LLPC is a licensed therapist providing counseling in Muskegon and the surrounding West Michigan area. He specializes in family counseling, career counseling, psychotherapy, spiritual direction, life coaching and consulting, and seminars and training. Laughter is healing!

Terri DeBoer - Special Guest

This is Terri DeBoer's first time performing standup comedy! Terri has recently “un-retired” from her more than 30 years at WOOD TV8 and is excited to be the newest member of the Fox 17 weather team. After spending a little more than a year away from broadcasting, Terri realized something was missing from her life. Terri’s primary shift is West Michigan’s “wake up” weather Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.

Kyle Underwood - Host

Former Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Kyle Underwood was at WOOD TV8 for a 10 years and 18,000-ish weathercasts, famously covering six tornadoes that touched down in West Michigan on one afternoon. Kyle Underwood is now a financial advisor with Edward Jones, still explaining complicated, highly technical subjects in a simple way.

The World Series of Comedy was first held in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2003 at a local comedy club. Today, the World Series of Comedy is a stand-up comedy event for comedians of all levels. It starts with weeklong live satellite contests all around the U.S. and Canada, culminating in a comedy festival we call The Main Event, in September. The festival includes 101 qualifying comedians competing in The Main Event, as well as an entire week of comedy seminars and social and networking events for comics, comedy club managers and bookers from the U.S. and Canada.
