Comedy at The Creek

Comedy at the Creek is back with another round of Stand-up comedy. Saturday, November 16th at Country Creek Reception Hall, we will have a brand new batch of 10 hilarious comedians to hit the stage live to dish out the laughs. There will be great drink specials available at the bar for patrons who are 21 and over. PJ'S Catering will have delicious food available. The doors will open at 6:00pm and the show runs from 8:00-10:30pm. $5.00 at the door and entry is 18+. You may contact the hall directly @ (517) 643-9797 for table reservations of 8 or more. Don Tersigni, a Detroit area native and former winner of Ed McMahon's "NEXT BIG STAR" National TV Talent show, began performing while serving in the US Navy. He has performed in Las Vegas and Nashville and has shared the stage with Steve Harvey, Louie Anderson, Cast of The Sopranos Live, Jewel, Jimmy "JJ" Walker, Jon Stewart, Tommy Chong, Gilbert Gottfried, Ted Nugent and Weird Al Yankovic among others. Kim Cook is a quick witted southerner who now resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She also has the last name of something she does not do well. Kim loves discussing her British husband, being a dog mom and topical events. She is a Second City alum and has performed at Zanies, Coral Gables Comedy Club, Gilda’s LaughFest, Plano Comedy Festival, The Annoyance Theatre, The Comedy Arena, and Hyena’s Comedy Club to name a few.

Kim is a recent breast cancer survivor. Ticket proceeds go to Gilda's Club Grand Rapids.

North Kent Comedy Nights

Join us every month at Flo’s in Belmont, for a stand up comedy showcase.
All proceeds from tickets donated to local charities and causes! North Kent Comedy Nights is the first project from the boys at North Kent Comedy Productions. Join us the last Saturday of every month at Flo's Pizzeria Ristorante & Sports Bar in Belmont, for a Comedy showcase unlike anything else in the area. We bring you some of the best Midwest talents, at a great local venue, and the best part is proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to a local charity or cause. Flo’s was founded on April 29th, 2011 by Daniele and Davide Uccello. It was a dream the two brothers had ever since they started working for their father at an early age. Daniele has always had a passion for cooking and Davide has always had a passion for service. It was a match from day one! Davide was 19 and Daniele was 24 when the two brothers started talking about it. There was little support from anyone besides their father and mother Salvatore and Franca Uccello; others thought they were too young but­ the two Sicilian born brothers never gave up and after years of persistence it finally happened! Ever since then the two brothers and their management have been committed to providing excellent service and authentic Italian food at the right value. Lastly as you browse the menu you will be looking at recipes that have been brought to America from past generations. You will also be looking at recipes that have incorporated various local Michigan vendors.

Great Lakes Chorus

The Great Lakes Chorus was formed in 1938, and in 1947 was chartered as the official Grand Rapids chapter of what was then known as the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (now the Barbershop Harmony Society). The chorus offers men the opportunity to learn barbershop harmony in a large group, helps them develop their skills, and encourages them to sing in quartets.
