Chip Ambrogio's twenty-five plus year comedy career includes performing on the road and all the major city clubs. He has been a contributing writer for The Friars Club Roasts and the Hulu Plus project Don't Know Jack. He is co-creator of Room for Improvement , a reality show pilot selected as a finalist at the New York Television Festival Currently writing for some of today’s top headliners, he’s a sought after joke doctor for established acts and top new comers. As a comic, he has worked Atlantic City, Vegas and a variety of corporate and private events.

Slap Your Tail Comedy Open Mic - Dormouse Theatre

Tickle your funny bone on 3rd Thursdays with Slap Your Tail Comedy.
The Dormouse Theatre is a 100 seat venue that produces its own unique brand of sketch comedy, as well as original, and non-traditional works. In addition, The Dormouse hosts and features live music and an array of other performance artists throughout the season. The setting is relaxed with eclectic seating options. Patrons will be able to chill before and after a show, while enjoying beverages and house made snacks from our rotating menu. The building itself is a fixture of the Kalamazoo community, as the Dormouse team has repurposed a one hundred and twenty five year old church building.

Dan Brittain is a comedian in Southeast Michigan. Dan started out in comedy at The Second City almost 20 years ago and finished their Conservatory program in improv. At some point he decided he didn’t like being around people on stage. He made the switch to stand up and it’s been hilariously awkward ever since. He’s performed multiple times at Gilda's Laughfest, the Detroit Improv Festival, and is a regular at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle and One Night Stan's. He’s hosted for Steve Mcgrew, Matt Holt, and was recently the feature comedian for Josh Sneed.

World Series of Comedy

The World Series of Comedy was first held in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2003 at a local comedy club. Today, the World Series of Comedy is a stand-up comedy event for comedians of all levels. It starts with weeklong live satellite contests all around the U.S. and Canada, culminating in a comedy festival we call The Main Event, in September. The festival includes 101 qualifying comedians competing in The Main Event, as well as an entire week of comedy seminars and social and networking events for comics, comedy club managers and bookers from the U.S. and Canada.

He’s opened for notable “Bobs” like Bob Nelson, Bob Smiley, and Robert (Bob) G. Lee, and performed at Dr. Grins at the B.O.B. Brian has also opened for Jeff Jena, Kira Soltanovich, Michael Palascak, Adam Minnick, Happy Cole, Leslie Norris Townsend, Tommy Ryman, Chris Young, Andy Beningo, and Dave Williamson.

Brian’s appearances include Bonkerz, Comedy Cabaret, Crackers, Dr. Grins, Funny Stop, Gutty’s, Krackpots, L.A.
