Tickle your funny bone on 3rd Thursdays with Slap Your Tail Comedy.
The Dormouse Theatre is a 100 seat venue that produces its own unique brand of sketch comedy, as well as original, and non-traditional works. In addition, The Dormouse hosts and features live music and an array of other performance artists throughout the season. The setting is relaxed with eclectic seating options. Patrons will be able to chill before and after a show, while enjoying beverages and house made snacks from our rotating menu. The building itself is a fixture of the Kalamazoo community, as the Dormouse team has repurposed a one hundred and twenty five year old church building.

At some point he decided he didn’t like being around people on stage. He made the switch to stand up and it’s been hilariously awkward ever since. He’s performed multiple times at Gilda's Laughfest, the Detroit Improv Festival, and is a regular at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle and One Night Stan's. He’s hosted for Steve Mcgrew, Matt Holt, and was recently the feature comedian for Josh Sneed.

The World Series of Comedy was first held in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2003 at a local comedy club. Today, the World Series of Comedy is a stand-up comedy event for comedians of all levels. It starts with weeklong live satellite contests all around the U.S. and Canada, culminating in a comedy festival we call The Main Event, in September. The festival includes 101 qualifying comedians competing in The Main Event, as well as an entire week of comedy seminars and social and networking events for comics, comedy club managers and bookers from the U.S. and Canada.
